2023 RUTHIES AWARDS: BEST NEW AND USED CAR DEALERSHIP, FINALIST FOR BEST PLACE TO WORK, AND MORE!

Another year, another win thanks to our loyal customers! For 2023, Kia of Murfreesboro won "Best Auto Dealer" in both the New and Pre-owned segment for Rutherford County! 32nd Annual Stake & Burger 2019

On July 16th, the Kia Guy and his family attended the Boys and Girls Club of Rutherford County's biggest fundraiser of the year, 32nd Annual Stake & Burger.

The Boys and Girls Club of Rutherford County works to save and change the lives of local children and teens by providing them with a safe, positive and engaging environment. Serving more than 2,600 youth annually, their programs help prepare and inspire them to achieve great futures.

This night was no exception. Hosting this year was guest speaker, Charles Barkley. Guests raised funds through donated auction items ranging from signed Charles Barkley basketballs to an ATV.

20th Annual Phillip Fulmer and Charlie Daniel Golf Classic

Kia of Murfreesboro continues its dedication to giving back as an appreciation for its customer's business. On May 15th, we helped sponsor The Jason Foundation at its 20th Annual Phillip Fulmer and Charlie Daniels Golf Classic at Hermitage Golf Club. The day comprised of golfing, dinner, awards, and entertainment by country singer Charlie Daniels. Most of all, the day raised money for educational and awareness programs focused on the prevention of youth suicide.

Phillip Fulmer and Charlie Daniels have worked tirelessly for the prevention of youth suicide since they joined the JFI team. Both Phillip and Charlie have participated in making public service announcements, public awareness programs and fundraising. To date, the golf classic has raised more than $2.75 million in monetary and in-kind donations for our educational and awareness programs focused on the prevention of youth suicide, making this event the largest annual fundraiser for The Jason Foundation!

We are so honored to be part of such an amazing organization and cannot wait to participate again next year.

Once again, Kia of Murfreesboro supported the nation's troops by being a title sponsor for the 5th Annual Old Hickory Fun Run. It was the best one yet. On July, 28th and 29th, runners ventured on an extended course, over 120 boaters rafted up, and money was raised at the charity auction to benefit Operation Stand Down Tennessee. It was a crazy good time, for a good cause, in Nashville.

For 20 years, Operation Stand Down Tennessee has provided supportive services for Veterans and their families throughout Tennessee at no cost to them. These services include benefits counseling, transitional housing, employment services, and homelessness prevention. This is the only organization in Tennessee that is recognized by the US Department of Veteran Affairs. $0.85 of every dollar donated serves Veterans, allowing them to live the American Dream.

17 days of soul winner: patricia rucker

For the second year in a row, in conjunction with Fox 17, Kia of Murfreesboro gave away a Kia Soul during the 17 Days of Soul Contest. The lucky winner is Patricia Russell. Her and her husband have been married for 48 years and plan to travel up the East Coast, in their Kia Soul, for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Viewers watched Fox 17 News This Morning each day to find out the key word to enter the contest. "Key" just so happened to be Mrs. Rucker's winning keyword, and her key actually turned on the Kia Soul. Congratulations Patricia Rucker!

19th annual phillip fulmer and charlie daniels golf classic

Kia of Murfreesboro continues its dedication to giving back as an appreciation for its customer's business. On May 16th, Kia of Murfreesboro once again helped sponsor the Jason Foundation at its 19th Annual Phillip Fulmer and Charlie Daniels Golf Classic at Hermitage Golf Club. The Jason Foundation was founded by Clark Flatt, who tragically lost his son to youth suicide. Flatt used his tragedy as a spark to help others, by forming a foundation to fight back. The Jason Foundation is dedicated to the prevention of the "Silent Epidemic" of youth suicide through educational and awareness programs that equip young people, educators/youth workers and parents with the tools and resources to help identify and assist at-risk youth. Ninety-six cents of every dollar raised goes directly to support programs.

Our President of Kia of Murfreesboro, Martin Herr, teamed up with Fox 17 for their "Week of Giving" leading up to a telethon benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville. Herr was chosen as a compelling local business owner that consistently gives back to the community and embodies a spirit of giving. He appeared on Fox 17 This Morning to garner the support of viewers.

"Everyone knows me as "The Kia Guy" in town but what people don't know is that I'm Martin, the father of two beautiful children?I can't imagine being in a time of need and not having the kind of support that Ronald McDonald House gives...We all need to pitch in and help out because we could all be in that spot."

The telethon raised over $120,000 in three hours to support the Nashville Ronald McDonald House.

The Nashville Ronald McDonald House provides an affordable "home away from home" and other resources for families and their children in need. The House is open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day and is supported by six full time staff members and 200 active volunteers.

The House is a home, providing hot meals, laundry facilities and a place to rest. It has all the benefits of a house, including a playroom, teen game room, a library, two kitchens and a large dining room.

Your New Kia Guy, Martin Herr, took the airwaves by storm to raise money for our country's veterans. Partnering with Operation Troop Aid, WSM 650 AM and other donors on live radio, Herr rallied listeners to make donations to help raise $5000 to support the Big Christmas Payback. The prize went to one active duty member or veteran to help this Christmas with their mortgage, rent, car note, credit cards, medical bills, a Big Christmas for their family or a combination thereof. Operation Troop Aid's founder Mark Woods believes that, "As our men and women in uniform are deployed all over the world, let us not forget our freedom, for it is because of them, past, present, and future that we can live free. What better way to express our FREEDOM than to reach out to the ones that provide it. Let them know they are "NOT FORGOTTEN." Along with Operation Troop Aid and all sponsors, Kia of Murfreesboro salutes our American Troops.

17 days of soul, november 23rd, 2016

On November 23, 2016, Kia of Murfreesboro gave away a 2016 Kia Soul to a contestant who watched Fox 17 This Morning every day for the daily keyword.

Contestants picked a key hoping that theirs would be the one to start the brand new Kia Soul. The anticipation did not take long to dissipate, because the third key turned on the ignition. Larry Harris of Cookesville, TN won the 2016 Kia Soul live on Fox 17 This Morning.

It was an exciting moment for all that participated. Those that did not win the car received a $100 gift card.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kia of Murfreesboro donated a portion of all vehicle sales in the month of October to the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition (TBCC) Fund. We were able to raise and present a check for $2,500 to support this worthy cause to help end the fight! The TBCC was founded in 1995 to increase awareness of breast cancer issues to men and women in Tennessee. Their efforts have led them to a vast number of accomplishments and the ability to provide assistance for breast cancer patients across Tennessee. We applaud our customers and staff for supporting our endeavor.

For the 2016 Youth Fall Football Season, Kia of Murfreesboro punted their spirit for community service to the Junior Warriors by sponsoring the team and providing uniforms. The Murfreesboro Warriors Youth Football organization believes in instilling values and virtues into the youth of Murfreesboro to ensure their growth in becoming positive forces in the community. They do this through instilling the five principles of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant-leadership and sportsmanship. Kia of Murfreesboro along with, the coaches, staff, and players are working on building a strong community.

4th annual old hickory fun run to support operation stand down tennessee

Kia of Murfreesboro sponsored and contributed to the 4th Annual Old Hickory Fun Run to support Operation Stand Down Tennessee. Since 1993, Operation Stand Down has focused on empowering Veterans to achieve their American Dream. Through a weekend encompassing the usual fun run, lunch, insanely popular raft-up and powerboat race, dinner and auction, the Fun Run raised tens of thousands of dollars to support our veterans.

94 FM, The Fish, and Kia of Murfreesboro raised money to feed children in Guatemala. With the support of the community, what was supposed to be thirty minutes of on-air time turned into hours of challenging the listeners to match gifts. Listeners were up to the challenge, Kia of Murfreesboro was up to the challenge, so now children will have a basic need that everyone should have. Thanks to everyone for their support.

Did you know that over 100 youth will become victims of suicide this week? Clark Flatt, President of The Jason Foundation Inc. knows the realities of this statistic all too well. However, instead of being overcome by his own tragedy, he is on a crusade to fight against youth suicide. Flatt created The Jason foundation; a foundation that has successfully passed legislature and created programs focused on the education and awareness of suicide prevention. He is not fighting alone, because Kia of Murfreesboro teamed up with The Jason Foundation as one of its sponsors for the 18th Annual Phillip Fulmer & Charlie Daniels Golf classic. Kia of Murfreesboro is the proud recipient of the 2016 Rutherford County Main Street Besties Awards in two categories. The dealership won first place for the "Best Place to Buy a New Car" and were a Besties finalist for the "Best Place to Buy a Used Car."

"The Besties" are The Murfreesboro Post's Annual Business Awards, selected by readers in over 60 categories. More than 10,000 ballots were received and the top 3 businesses in each category were named. "It is quite an honor to have been named among the finalists but to win in their first year of business is huge for Kia of Murfreesboro," said Jennie Slowey, Account Executive for Main Street Media.

Who gives away a free car? Your New Kia Guy does. In conjunction with Fox 17, Martin Herr, President of Kia of Murfreesboro gave away a brand new Kia Soul. The lucky winner was Donna Rae Franklin of Goodlettsville.

Donna's husband predicted that she would win the car as a gift for her 41st wedding anniversary the day before. She became one of the finalist after watching Fox 17 during the 17 Days of Soul. All other finalist received a $100 gas card.

The program is designed to develop people who are excited to tell the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce story. A story that encompasses preparing students for the business world, developing business owner's leadership skills by addressing community needs, developing small business, and educating Chamber members on local, state and national government issues.
